Sarah Committee Chair Music Festival Yorkshire 2024

"I have worked for Tactical security options for 9 years now and found it to be one of, if not the best, company I have worked for during my 12 years in security. A mix of approachable management and great colleagues. Along with a great choice of venues and sites to work at.

As a female, working in a male dominated sector like security, it can be hard sometimes. But I have never felt there to be an issue at TSO. I have had a promotion to Head Door Supervisor and chances to move up the TSO ladder into management.

It has been hard work at times, but I have always felt supported in whatever path I have taken. With help from the company undertaking training and new opportunities to get me to where I want to be. I have sometimes found it difficult at times trying to balance a career and a family life.

But TSO have gone above and beyond to make sure I get the best of both worlds and don't have to choose one path or the other."

Toni Rae Head Door Supervisor TSO Lancaster. 12.03.24

County Councillor Margaret Pattison 2023

JB Estates 2023

"One of your staff employed as a member of door supervision, working in Bowness on Windermere. Assisted myself a Police Officer dealing with a violent incident, that had potential for the situation to escalate was very high and posed a risk to the public.

Given the number of males involved I was outnumbered and had no immediate backup available to me. But your member of security staff did not hesitate, despite the incident not occurring upon the premises that he was employed to manage, he came to my assistance and helped me to restrain a male within the group who was extremely aggressive and needed to be arrested.

Without the assistance of your staff, there would have undoubtedly been an assault and I too would have been at risk of being assaulted. Instead, the male was restrained in a controlled manner and I wanted to highlight the calm and professional manner in which your staff dealt with the male.

Please can my thanks be passed to your staff and my thanks to TSO for your support and assistance.

Best regards"

"Tactical Security Options were hired by Walmer Bridge Village Hall as security at an outdoor music concert in 2022.

The security staff arrived on site before the requested time and reported to the site manager. The site layout and itinerary were discussed.

The hall committee would have no hesitation using them again."

"I went to the ........ last week to see an event. The area at the front of the stage had to be kept clear for safety reasons but this man had other ideas. One of your security guards dealt with him in a friendly and informal manner.  He returned to the front several times, but he was safely and swiftly moved on. I just wanted to email you to say what an absolute professional the security guard was, and he’s an asset to your company."

"I am posting this review as the Chairman of the Lakes Parish Chamber of Trade. Dave and the Tactical Security Ops team have been instrumental in enabling Ambleside to flow effectively through the latest lockdown easing measures. Their diligence, professionalism in the way they interact with visitors and the support of all of our local businesses and residents has been absolutely fantastic. Very happy with the service and they are proving very popular in our local community. They have made a massive difference in preventing and managing a wide variety of visitor related issues throughout their tenure to date. Could not recommend their services more."

Steven Crook
Chairman of the Lakes Parish Chamber of Trade 2021

"The Lake District National Park Authority has been working with Tactical Security Options Ltd to provide support to some of the areas in the National Park that have been experiencing the most anti social behaviour as a result of the increased visitors caused by COVID-19.  Their work has directly resulted in a significant improvement in the damage that is being done by fly campers and people having fires in every area that they’re deployed.  As a company, we’ve found them to be faultlessly professional and reliable.  Their officers have always shown great restraint and always using the right level of engagement for whatever challenge they face, Very highly recommended."

Tony Watson MCIM Head of Visitor Services & Communications
Lake District National Park Authority

"As Mayor of Windermere and Bowness I would like to personally thank the Marshalls on the excellent job they’re doing for our town.  I would most be grateful if you could pass that message onto them expressing my thanks for their efforts"

"I was returning to the beautiful lakes again this weekend, after a hard week working as a Ward Manager for the NHS, I was there last weekend and enjoyed our family time. As an NHS worker it was so nice to see a security company called, Tactical Security Options helping with the social distancing especially with large groups. It was very reassuring especially during times of Covid-19.

I approached these gentlemen working for the security company, to ask what they were doing, with all my questions answered. I think you yourselves and the tactical team are doing an amazing job just one big thank you again, I wish we had them in our area."

Mary J Sefton 2021

"The company is really professional and the door staff we have had are really friendly and go the extra mile when required. They always communicate with the staff and make sure that the premises is kept safe at all times especially during the current covid 19 pandemic."

Kings Arms Hotel Lancaster 2020

"Tactical is by far the best company I have worked for. They really care about their staff and have a great support system in place. I cannot fault Dave, Steve and Aaron one bit. Tactical have great pride in encouraging extra learning and development of staff and that is one of the reasons I wanted to join their team. 10/10 service no matter what the job involves."

Dean Webster 2020

"Working for Tactical was an excellent experience, the management team well and truly put staff first and endeavour to utilise your skill set to the fullest as well as providing training to increase that skill set.

In the recent pandemic the management team went above and beyond to provide work for all the staff. I enjoyed my time with Tactical and would recommend anyone looking to get into security work to consider joining Tactical, as I don’t think you will find a better team."

Liam Keates 2020

"I would like to say that I was very impressed with Aaron and Steve, two of your security who were only too willing to be of assistance when I had a run in with a large group who were intoxicated and a nuisance.

They were very supportive and made me feel safe when I had been intimidated, and waited with me until the Police arrived.  I felt they had a calming effect and were very polite.

They call in every now and again just to check everything is OK. Kind regards"

Jill Henderson, Director Aquatic Boat Centre 2020

"Tactical Security Options came to the aid of Windermere & Bowness Town Council when we urgently needed stewards to manage entry and exit to our hugely busy toilets. We needed to re-open the toilets quickly after Covid 19 Lock-down, but in a safe and responsible manner. Tactical Security Options provided us quickly with two full-time 7 day a week stewards, fully trained with all the requisite qualifications in place to work with the public. They have worked with us throughout the summer and I don't think we could have done without them. They have been totally professional throughout, have been firm but friendly with the public in often very busy and difficult situations and have nipped problems in the bud. They have acted as ambassadors for our area and have shown a great deal of caring and commitment. The company itself have been very easy to work with, responding quickly to any questions and producing regular reports back. It has been a pleasure from beginning to end and we would definitely recommend them to other organisations"

Mrs Julie Hartley

Clerk to Windermere & Bowness Town Council 2020

"Just wanted to praise one of your security staff Dean, who helped us into the toilet area as my girlfriend was not well. Also your staff are doing a good job at the Lake District."

Jack Haslam, member of the public. 2020.

"During my time at Tactical Security I have met a lot of new people and made a lot of good friends. Tactical Security has by far been the best employers of my security career and I hope to one day progress to management status. They are an extremely caring company, and although they may be on the smaller side they make up for it in heart and determination to make the industry better. They have given me the push and starting blocks to improve on both my working knowledge and my CV by enrolling me onto online courses. I would 100% recommend Tactical Security to anybody looking for work in the security industry. Dave is an excellent boss and friend and I feel comfortable approaching him with any work related, or personal issues. (Overall excellent company). "

Toni Rae Door Supervisor & Security Officer (Happy employee) 2020.

"Seriously it would not have been the same event without you and the team from Tactical being there. You are all very polite, professional and very easy to approach. More importantly our residents and customers, always have something nice to say about your team every year, so thank you."

Maureen Nicholl, Events Secretary Walmer. 2019.

"I was out with SIA Investigations Unit on Saturday night in Ulverston and the Lakes, we just missed you, and they were very impressed with your teams, your lads and lasses were a credit to you and the hard work you have put in."

Mark Dempster, Community Problem Solver, Licensing Officer. 2019.

"I have had the pleasure of working alongside David Pattinson of Tactical Security Options Ltd on a number of occasions, since 2016. Tactical Security has supplied Ulverston carnival security since 2016, and Street Patrols. We have found them to be flexible, reliable and most of all professional. I would recommend the use of Tactical Security Options Ltd to anyone who requires security at special events of any size."

Events Manager, Ulverston Carnival. 2019.

"I have had the pleasure and honour of working alongside Dave Pattinson on many occasions. I first met Dave when he attended one of my Personal Safety training courses in 2000. He attended the training in order to improve, or rather add to, his own security and safety skills. For someone with over 25 years in the security industry at the time, to be looking to improve their skill level is in itself a testament to his professionalism.

During the training and through subsequent meetings, I recognised Dave as a very professional and extremely honest operator within the security industry. Since meeting we have worked together during training sessions and security protection for both the UK police and civilians.

Over the past 17 years Dave has worked with me in both the UK and Europe during training courses, and private security. I greatly value him as a good trainer, and security close protection officer and will always turn to him for support and advice.

Since I retired from the Police force, 12 years ago, I have been involved in the security industry around the world. I am pleased to have worked for Dave and his team at Tactical Security Options Ltd, on many occasions on an operational level. What stands out to me was that his team – a team he both trained and employs – are perhaps the best security team I have ever had the pleasure to work with. My critical eye noted their tactical skills in crowd management and, especially their communication skills with customers, was excellent.

I would have no qualms at all, in recommending Tactical Security Options Ltd to anyone who requires a top class service."

Martin Cooper MD Cooper Consultants. 2018.

"From the initial site visit and risk assessment, to the event itself the professionalism was first class. The Door Supervisors were smart and easily identifiable, and very professional. Just the profile of security we needed for this type of yearly event. "

Robert Kay, Residential Support Manager Myerscough College. 2017.

"On behalf of the directors and committee of Maryport Festivals Ltd. I write to offer our sincere thanks for the excellent security cover Tactical provided for the 2017 Blues Festival. This was the 19th year for this festival and I can say this was the very best we have ever had.
